Pardew & Ashley Determined To Land ‘Free Boro Reject’ As Carroll Replacement

Newcastle fans beware; Mike Ashley and Alan Pardew have set their sights on striker reinforcements that could be signed up by the end of the week.

Excited?

Well how excited would you be if former Boro player Jeremie Aliadiere lined up in the famous black and white? I doubt many of you would be jumping off your seats for the right reasons.

Aliadiere is a free agent after being released from his contract at Middlesbrough last summer and is believed to be interested in a move to Tyneside. The club are talking about a six month contract with a further 12months if he can score the goals to keep Newcastle in the Premier League.

Once again Mike Ashley is sure to get stick from the fans that have no love lost for the controversial owner. This latest stunt is sure to keep the boo boys busy. What might even be more frustrating is whether Aliadiere can actually contribute to the team. His Boro days would hardly show blistering form with 12 goals in 86 appearances.

Whether a deal can be struck only time will tell, it would be interesting to see what sort of reception the Frenchman would get on his arrival at St James Park. With many Newcastle fans asking if he is not good enough for Boro why would he be good enough for us?
