The Sun has made a claim that has got all of our punters sat up and interested here at the Football Transfer Tavern as they note that Manchester United have not made a bid for Yohan Cabaye – well according to Alan Pardew that is.
Newcastle of course are facing a summer that is slightly more uncomfortable than they would have liked and now it seems that the speculation over Cabaye’s future is set to roll on and on. The Frenchman himself is said to be keen on a move away from the club and the arrival of Joe Kinnear who of course called him ‘Yohan Kebab’ did not help matters. United have been admirers of the player for some time now and despite this, Pardew has noted that no bid has been made.
The manager claimed that “Like all our players there is a value to Yohan. Obviously he’s a player I want to keep and there has been no bid so far.”
Mega rich club Paris Saint Germain are also thought to be interested in landing the French International who is thought to be one of the favourite players of owner Mike Ashley. Cabaye is not the only player who is looking for a move this summer – Papiss Cisse is heading for the exit door over a row involving shirt sponsors Wonga and despite being pictured in a casino this week, will still refuse to wear the logo.
