Crystal Palace haven't quite reached their full potential in the current campaign with consistency letting them down in recent times, as they often follow up a positive result with a negative one.

The Eagles shouldn't have any trouble in avoiding the relegation zone but they're currently only five points above Cardiff City who sit in 18th position. So, Roy Hodgson should turn his attention towards the summer transfer window with players possibly leaving and improvements being required.

Interestingly, it appears as if the London club already have their sights set on a possible addition, as according to ESPN Argentina (via HITC), Crystal Palace are interested in signing River Plate's Rafael Santos Borre.

Indeed, the forward managed to score seven goals and provided two assists last season and he has all the ingredients to succeed in the Premier League. His pace, strength, dribbling and finishing ability makes him a well-rounded forward, and unlike Christian Benteke, he can ensure a consistent flow of goals.

Benteke has been one of the major attacking problems for Palace in the current campaign as he's yet to score in all competitions, which can be put down to injury troubles and a lack of quality in front of goal.

Many fans will agree that trading the Belgian in for cash in the summer transfer window must be a priority for Palace as he's done more harm than good, and receiving the funds for the forward would help Steve Parish move for Borre.

Crystal Palace fans, surely Gorre moving to Selhurst Park would spell the end for Benteke? Join the discussion by commenting down below!
