Paul Clement managed to pull off what looked the unthinkable at one point with Swansea City, guiding them to safety and yet another season in the Premier League.
The Swans were heavily reliant on both Fernando Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson, but they did enough as a team as well to ensure they stayed in the top flight, and it’s left the Swans fans here in the Tavern in an ecstatic mood heading into the summer.
Our landlord has been catching up with the Swansea lot over by the pool table this week, and there has been some serious in depth chatter about who the club should look to sign in the summer to make sure they aren’t struggling again.
One player who we think could do a job and step up is Chelsea striker and now former Bristol City loanee, Tammy Abraham.
Abraham’s goals more or less single handedly kept the Robins in the Championship last season, and with Chelsea likely to splash big in the market again, chances could be at premium for the big man at the Bridge next term.
A move to someone like Swansea though could be the making of him, with the player no doubt determined to prove his worth in the Premier League following his blitz of goals in the second tier.
Swansea and Clement would be more or less the perfect environment for Abraham to flourish, and he could turn out to be an excellent signing should Clement decide to make a move for him.
Swansea fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know!
