Newcastle United will be desperate to pick up where they left off after the international break as they secured all three points against Bournemouth last time out.
The Magpies have certainly come on leaps and bounds in recent times as they continue to climb away from the relegation zone, with a successful January transfer window helping them seek even more improvements. Although, the club suffered a setback on the injury front recently, as according to The Newcastle United Blog, Paul Dummett has returned to Newcastle to have his injury assessed.
Paul Dummett picked up his 4th cap for Wales earlier this week when he started the game against Denmark at the Cardiff City Stadium, but he only lasted 38 minutes as he had to leave the field due to injury.
He cannot play in Wales’ next game in Albania as we had expected he has returned to Newcastle to have treatment.
The severity of the injury is still unknown, so it could potentially be very damaging if worse comes to worst.
Paul Dummett has been very consistent for Newcastle United over the years and will play a huge part in the rest of their campaign. However, he could be set to spend a large period of time out on the sidelines, with the club still yet to release any updates on his injury.
The Magpies will be hoping that full-back’s injury isn’t too severe as they could really struggle without him.
