Arsenal have carried out some outstanding business so far in the transfer window.

Under Unai Emery, Arsenal have been quick to address their weaknesses. The Gunners have made four new signings as the club looks to bounce surge back into the Champions League places next year.

Although Arsenal have Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up front, Arsenal need another winger. Alex Iwobi’s form has been patchty at best, while Lucas Perez’s future at the club remains uncertain. With that in mind, the club have been linked with a move for Boca Juniors winger and Argentinian international, Cristian Pavon. Due to Arsenal’s interest, Boca Juniors have moved to offer Pavon a new deal which would increase his release clause of £37.5 million according to AS.

The Breakdown

In a poor Argentinian side, Pavon stood out and found himself starting ahead of the likes Paulo Dybala and Sergio Aguero. Although he couldn’t do much to stop Argentina slumping to a World Cup exit, the 22-year-old winger has attracted interest from multiple clubs.

With Arsenal working with limited funds this summer, it seems a £37.5 million fee may just price the club out of a move for the Boca Juniors man. Valued at £18 million by Transfermarkt, the Argentinian would be a good addition to the side. Arsenal need some depth on the wings but also some quality. Moreover, Arsenal lack any true speedster on the right flank who can also contribute with assists and goals. The fee will probably put the club off but if they can sign him for anything under £25 million, it’d be a shrewd bit of business.
