Liverpool managed to get the better of Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield earlier on today in what was a nervy encounter, so they now find themselves back at the top of the Premier League table.
The Reds have been in complete control in the current campaign, other than experiencing a couple of nervy moments in recent games, so they’ll feel confident that they can get the job done.
What’s the news?
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Extremadura in the second tier of Spanish football, but his transfer was confirmed 40 minutes late, meaning he is unable to feature for the senior side.
Nevertheless, he’s impressed and he has a bright future ahead of him regardless of where he plays his football, but Liverpool certainly wouldn’t be too bothered if he departed.
Pedro Chirivella has found it impossible to break into the first-team ranks at Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp has found a settled midfield, so a permanent move away in the summer seems like the best option for the midfielder.
He’s a talented player who could definitely develop into a star in the future but he’s just not good enough to secure a future in the Premier League with Liverpool.
So, Liverpool look set to lose the midfielder in the summer transfer window with a return to Spain possibly doing him some good and it would allow him to grow as a player as he’d be able to secure regular football.
Liverpool fans, would you be bothered if Chirivella ended up departing?
