Pellegrini could face problem with England international as he continues to rebuild West Ham

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be excited with the times ahead as Manuel Pellegrini looks to continue his rebuilding process.

The new manager has been active in the transfer window this summer, having already completed three signings and is believed to want to bring at least a few more additions to the London Stadium in the next month or so.

According to a report in The Sun, one of the names that the Hammers are interested in acquiring is Jack Wilshere, however, they could be about to encounter a slight problem. The midfielder has already revealed that he will leave Arsenal this summer, and West Ham are thought to be among the favourites for his signature.

However, it is also understood that the Irons are only prepared to give the England international a one-year deal as they have reservations over the player’s fitness. That could become a stumbling block for Pellegrini as Wilshere is keen for a longer contract.

Landlord’s Verdict

The locals in the Tavern will know Wilshere can do a job in the middle of the field for the Hammers should he join and would be pleased to see the 26-year-old at the London Stadium should he arrive.

However, with the possibility of just offering him a one-year deal, it could be a move that fails to happen as the midfielder has a number of other options that he could explore.
