Pellegrini looking to bring one of world’s best attacking midfielders to West Ham on bargain deal – report

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be delighted with the way that the club has approached the transfer market this summer, showing their ambition and not being afraid to spend the money required.

The Hammers, who appointed Manuel Pellegrini last month, have been busy with their recruitment drive and have targeted the likes of Javier Pastore and Felipe Anderson, whilst also adding Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks to their squad.

The locals will be pleased with the activity the club has been conducting and will be delighted with the news that they are chasing another highly-rated Brazilian this summer.

According to a report made by Alfredo Pedulla on his website, the Italian journalist has claimed that the Irons have already opened talks for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Bernard on a free transfer. The 25-year-old is a free-agent following the expiration of his contract in Ukraine and the Brazil international is believed to be one of the best attacking midfielders in the world.

Landlord’s Verdict

A player of Bernard’s ability and quality would normally set a club back hugely, however, the possibility of West Ham being able to get him on a free transfer will delight the locals in the bar, especially as the talks have already been productive.

The Brazil international has tonnes of ability on the ball which would benefit Pellegrini’s side and would help the Chilean achieve his aims of taking West Ham to a European football spot by playing attractive football.
