West Ham United fans here in the Tavern will be desperate to bring in a number of players this summer, as they didn’t manage to ensure consistency this season.
The Hammers had a season to forget as they flirted with the possibility of relegation for large parts, with many of our local residents hoping for a number of improvements this summer. And, with Manuel Pellegrini now in charge, perhaps David Sullivan will look to provide the South American with a load of cash to splash on new players.
Indeed, West Ham need to improve their current squad massively, with the midfield being one of the areas that needs huge improvements. So, perhaps the London club should look to save some cash by raiding one of the relegated clubs this summer, with the likes of Swansea City, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion all having a number of experienced and quality players.
Therefore, Pellegrini must beg Sullivan to bring this star to West Ham…
The Dutch midfielder, who is valued at £7.2 million (by Transfermarkt), is set to leave Swansea City this summer after their relegation to the Championship.
West Ham United struggled for inspiration in the middle of midfield this season, but Leroy Fer would be sure to bring creativity and a sense of excitement to the Hammers’ midfield if he signs this summer.
Also, the former Queens Park Rangers midfielder has shown that he can score goals on a consistent basis at the highest level, which would benefit the Hammers massively after their sloppy campaign in front of goal.
