Southampton fans here in the Tavern are fearing the worst after their beloved Saints’ recent poor run of form, as relegation looks to become the likely outcome for their season. 

Mauricio Pellegrino’s side have been far from impressive this campaign and their recent form of late goes to highlight that. Indeed, with them yet to secure a win in the Premier League since the end of November, things are really rather miserable down on the south coast right now.

For a Southampton side who had previously established themselves as one of the secure Premier League teams in years gone by, it now looks as if the rash decisions of the manager and their inability to produce has their top-flight status in doubt.  Of course, Saints fans were hopeful when former Alaves manager Mauricio Pellegrino took over from Claude Puel at the club in the summer months. But, since securing his lowest managerial win percentage of 17.39% since taking over at St Mary’s, the Argentine isn’t a popular figure amongst the red and white army.
