‘Pep won’t be happy’ – Tottenham fans react to club’s official Twitter post

The resident Lilywhites in the Transfer Tavern have simply ran out of superlatives to describe Harry Kane’s performances in Tottenham white.

In the space of just a few short years, Harry Kane has gone from being a relatively unknown striker, to one of the best players in world football. Nobody would have predicted Kane’s rise to fame and success following his average loan spells at Norwich City and Leicester City in the 2012/13 season. Kane failed to make a deep impression on the second-tier of English football, but since then he has flourished and become the most clinical striker in the Premier League.

So far this season, he has already scored 26 goals from 27 assists, and his form has deservedly earned him numerous plaudits from all over the world.

The Premier League have once again officially recognised Kane’s achievements by handing him the December Player of the Month award, after he scored 8 goals in 6 appearances for The Lilywhites during the final month of 2017.

And Tottenham confirmed that Kane had scooped another award via their official Twitter page.

The supporters turned out in their numbers to congratulate Kane on the individual accolade and heap further praise on their talisman.

And one supporter suggested that Pep Guardiola would be disappointed with the outcome, considering Kane’s achievement means only one of the five monthly awards have been handed to a Manchester City player this season.

Here’s what the Spurs fans had to say in response to the club post…
