Newcastle United started their season off poorly and haven’t exactly come on leaps and bounds since then, with relegation still being a worry.
The Magpies secured their first win of the current Premier League campaign against Watford last time out in what was a very close encounter.
Interestingly, Newcastle United will welcome Bournemouth to St James’ Park in their next Premier League encounter. The Cherries have been one of the form teams in the division recently and will be hungry to secure even more points, so the Magpies will find it tough to grind out a result.
With that in mind, Rafa Benitez must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO Newcastle stars…
The central midfielder has struggled to enjoy regular minutes in the side this season due to Benitez constantly turning to Mohamed Diame and Jonjo Shelvey in the middle of midfield.
However, Benitez is currently sweating over the fitness of the Englishman as he was substituted last time out after being forced off due to an injury. So, the Spaniard should put his trust in the South Korean to fill the huge void.
Ayoze Perez hasn’t been able to find his feet in front of goal on a regular basis this season as he netted his first goal of the season against Watford last time out. Indeed, after scoring the vital goal to secure a valuable three points for Newcastle United, it’s only fair that he is gifted a place in the starting lineup, with Yoshinori Muto injured.
Bournemouth have been rather resolute defensively this season and are hard to break down, so Newcastle will be hoping that the Spaniard can work his magic feet to unlock their defence.
