West Ham have improved their attack this summer by splashing out big money on Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko.

The duo will bring much to Manuel Pellegrini's side but, going into the new campaign, the former Manchester City boss could still do with another fresh face in the forward department.

And one player he could look to is Arsenal's Lucas Perez, who is valued at £6.7m by Transfermarkt.

The Breakdown

According to Goal, new Arsenal manager Unai Emery is willing to listen to offers for Perez, with reliable West Ham insider @ExWHUemployee stating on Episode 96 of ‘The West Ham Way’ radio show that the Hammers are interested in bringing the Spaniard to the London Stadium on loan.

Perez failed to make much of an impact at Arsenal after signing in the summer of 2016 before returning back to Deportivo La Coruna the following campaign.

Prior to his arrival at the Emirates, however, Perez managed to score 17 goals for Deportivo in the 2015/16 La Liga season and could give Pellegrini some much needed firepower up front.

Marko Arnautovic was the man leading the line for West Ham last term but, with Javier Hernandez's future uncertain and Andy Carroll's latest injury, the Hammers are a bit light in that area.

Perez, who is also capable of playing on the right, was promising in the few starts he did make for Arsenal and his goalscoring exploits in Spain show he could be a good alternative to Arnautovic if the Austrian is to remain as West Ham's first-choice striker.

In Anderson and Yarmolenko, West Ham have brought in very good creative players. And the addition of someone like Perez would be the finishing touch.
