Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Tavern are delighted with how their season panned out, as they can now look forward to Champions League football once again next season.
Mauricio Pochettino worked wonders this season as his side managed to finish above Liverpool in third-place, with a Champions League spot confirmed for the next campaign.
However, the club’s chairman Daniel Levy has been left with no choice than to try and lure a striker to Spurs’ new stadium, as many of our local residents were less than impressed with the support that Harry Kane received.
With that in mind, Levy has been left with no choice than to try and lure this star to North London…
Ciro Immobile, who is currently valued at £40.5 million (by Transfermarkt), had a fantastic season in the Serie A, hitting the back of the net 41 times and assisting 11 goals for his teammates.
Indeed, the Italian has proven this season that he is more than worthy of partnering Harry Kane, with many of our local residents believing that the Premier League title could be theirs if they land the striker.
Immobile can seemingly guarantee goals no matter where he plays his football, so bringing him to North London would be sure to lighten the load on Harry Kane’s shoulders.
Furthermore, you could also argue that he would be a brilliant rival for Tottenham’s homegrown hero. Kane has been sensational, but he’d only get better with more competition – and Immobile would deliver it. He’s been one of Europe’s only players that has been able to keep pace with Kane this year, and so a move for him makes perfect sense for Spurs.
