Phelan weighing up move for Serie A outcast in surprising Hull City transfer

According to The Sun, Hull City are looking at signing former Manchester United and West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison in a bid to ward off relegation.

The enigmatic Englishman is currently in Serie A with Lazio but has failed to settle suggesting to Tigers boss Mike Phelan he may be able to get him in.

Our Hull fans here in the Transfer Tavern would certainly like to see the gamble on him taken given the amount of praise afforded to him during his time as a youngster with the Red Devils.

He became known as one of the most talented youth prospects of his generation despite coming through with Paul Pogba, but so far he has not been able to turn that potential into the performances it deserves.

If he can for Hull they might just stay up this season and Morrison may feel it’s his last chance to prove himself anyway so it could be an inspired move on the behalf of the Tigers boss Phelan.
