The Chelsea supporters were feeling relieved in the Transfer Tavern last night after their side ended a run of two consecutive Premier League defeats with a comfortable 3-0 victory over rock-bottom West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge.
The pressure was somewhat lifted off Antonio Conte’s shoulders last night as his Chelsea side put in an accomplished performance to see off the challenge of the travelling Baggies. The result sandwiches Chelsea in-between 3rd place Liverpool and 5th place Tottenham in the Premier League with just 11 fixtures left to play.
Chelsea’s qualification for next seasons Champions League had looked relatively certain for a large part of the season, but their recent slip ups have dragged them into an uncomfortable battle for a place in the top-four. Prior to Chelsea’s home fixture with West Brom, The Blues suffered a dismal defeat away at Watford where they were comprehensively defeated 4-1.
Watford were given a helping hand in that game due to Tiemoue Bakayoko’s dismissal after just 30 minutes, and the French international consequently missed out on his side’s match last night due to suspension.
Bakayoko was given his marching orders after collecting two yellow cards in that fixture, and as such, he is now available for selection again after missing one game through suspension. However, if the Chelsea supporters had their way then the French international would remain sidelined for the foreseeable future whilst the club attempt to build a consistent run of form.
In the aftermath of proceedings last night, the supporters took to Twitter to slate their absent midfielder and call for Conte to keep him away from the first-team for the remainder of the season.
Here’s what the supporters on Twitter had to say about the absence of Bakyoko last night…

Chelsea was well coordinated. The communication between the players was awesome. It's obvious Bakayoko is one of our problems. Hazard deserves a statue in England. Barcelona here we come #CHEWBA

Chelsea 3 – 0 West Brom
We are technically out of Recession
And just like we have been begging Buhari, we need to also beg Bakayoko not to come back again so we can recover fully.
