‘Please no!’ – Twitter reacts after big update on Man Utd and Chelsea target

The Chelsea and Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have been battling it out all day…

Both clubs look likely to invest up-front this season, given their respective situations. For Chelsea, Diego Costa has been touted with a move to China, and the Blues will need to invest heavily to replace him should that be the case. From Man Utd’s perspective, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season – and given how many goals he has scored this year, a big name replacement will be needed.

Romelu Lukaku has been touted in the Transfer Tavern as the perfect replacement for both sides, and whilst both sets of fans have been keen – only one group has been smiling today. That is because, according to the Sun, Lukaku reportedly has reservations about Chelsea’s style of play, seemingly opening the door for a move for Man Utd.

Unsurprisingly, this has devastated the Chelsea fans in the pub, with many hoping that Lukaku would make a move.

The response on Twitter has been mixed, with many fans doubting the report…
