The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping their side can make some valuable additions to their squad during the January transfer window to ensure that they qualify for the Champions League this season.
Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a decent run of form of late, as their record of 4 wins victories their last 5 Premier League outings strongly suggests. Last time out, Spurs were in fine goal-scoring mood as they put 5 goals past a hapless Southampton at Wembley Stadium on their way to a 5-2 victory. Their result against The Saints has given the resident Lilywhites propping up the bar in the tavern plenty of confidence ahead of their trip to the Liberty Stadium to face rock-bottom Swansea City this evening.
The Lilywhites in the tavern are also feeling confident that Mauricio Pochettino can bring some new talent to the club this January to ensure that they finish inside the top-four this season.
And according to reports in The Daily Mirror, Spurs are set to beat their London-rivals Chelsea to the signing of Everton’s Ross Barkley this month – much to the delight of plenty of the Tottenham fans on Twitter.
The 24-year-old is yet to play a single minute of football this season due to a troublesome hamstring injury, but that has not prevented the Spurs faithful from calling for Pochettino to lure him to North-London this month.
Here’s what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have to say about the potential signing of Ross Barkley…
Great signing if we can get him. If people don’t realise what Poch can get out of a player by now then they never will. UP THE SPURS.

He'd be better off joining us to progress in his career, he'll just disappear into the shadows if he joins Chavski
