Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern were delightfully relieved that they could kick-off their Premier League campaign with three points after overcoming a confident Newcastle United team last weekend.
Not only have Spurs endured a dreadful summer window with zero names through the door up to this point, but the move to Wembley hasn’t filled supporters with much optimism going into the season.
However, the Transfer Tavern’s bar man is ecstatic that manager Mauricio Pochettino continues to pour faith into the club’s youth, by handing young right-back Kyle Walkers-Peters his top-flight debut and he largely impressed as well.
Despite the satisfying victory against the Magpies on Tyneside, Spurs face a much more terrifying match-up with Chelsea on Sunday and it is most certainly going to be an enduring ninety minutes of football for the North London outfit.
So to ensure the win goes to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, Pochettino must give these two players a chance against their bitter rivals…..Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
