Pochettino needs to get a move on if he wants to sign this star for Tottenham

Our resident Spurs fans are starting to think Mauricio Pochettino is making the right call in the transfer window by not upsetting what he has.

The Argentine has so far refused to splash out on anyone this season and Spurs fans have seen transfer rumours come at a premium.

The temporary Wembley faithful have so far seen Kyle Walker depart for Manchester City, while Eric Dier is being tipped with a move to Manchester United this summer.

Though Pochettino has stressed his desire to maintain the cohesion his team carried throughout last season and says he plans to offer game time to some of Spurs’ youngsters.

One youngster who turned heads last season is Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic.

Don Balon via the Daily Star suggest Poch’s side are keen on snapping up the midfielder.

Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane has just secured Real Betis’ Dani Ceballos and Kovacic now sees his first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu under threat.

With a key eye for a pass, superb dribbling ability and a powerful engine, Kovacic suits Spurs’ system to the ground.

However, Tottenham do need to get a move on – the 23-year-old is also wanted by Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli.

Thoughts Spurs fans? Reckon Poch should stick with what he has? Or can Kovacic help fire you to Premier League glory? Let us know in the comments!
