Pochettino plotting summer raid on former club

The Tottenham fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have profited well off their Southampton counterparts in recent years, and it looks as if those up from the south coast could be in for some more doom and gloom at the hands of the north Londoners.

Since the Saints returned to the Premier League, Spurs have nabbed perhaps the most promising manager in the top flight from their clutches, as well as taking on Toby Alderweireld after a year on loan at St. Mary’s.

With that in mind, reports from The Mirror are claiming that Mauricio Pochettino could be heading back to his old stomping ground this summer in search of a new right-back.

The red-top claim that the Argentine is looking to bring in Euro 2016 winner Cedric Soares as a replacement for Manchester City target Kyle Walker.

However, they are not alone in their interest, with both Barcelona and Juventus also mentioned and the Saints doing all they can to stop another key player leave their club.

Spurs fans, we want to hear from you! What do you make of Cedric? Do you think he has what it takes to replace Walker should he leave? Let us know in the comments…
