Pochettino’s £13m Tottenham deal blocked by Levy for one reason

Since their dismal exit from the Champions League at the hands of AS Monaco, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have been drowning their sorrows.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side crashed out of the continent’s elite competition with a whimper and it’s sparked major debate amongst our north London locals as they run the rule over their squad.

Despite spending big on the likes of Moussa Sissoko in the summer, many of our punters believe those behind the scenes at White Hart Lane could have improved things even further.

So, reports from London Football News have only rubbed salt into those wounds.

They’ve revealed Daniel Levy BLOCKED a £13m move for a man who helped knock them out of Europe, Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy.

Then with Ligue 1 rivals Marseille, the 22-year-old is thought to have been of interest to the Argentine, though Levy is understood to have prevented any move.

He was reportedly aiming to sell Ben Davies before making any further moves in the market and Mendy would eventually move to the Stade Louis II of course.
