Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern will be concerned with the future of one of their highly-influential men and could be prepared to bid him farewell this summer.
The Sun are claiming that the Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to give Spurs another year although it could fall out of his hands if he continues to make comments that he has directed to chief Daniel Levy.
The Argentine has made comments that he believes the chairman has been more occupied with the building work at their 61,000-seater stadium at the new White Hart Lane, which he feels has led to the lack of financial backing and not allowed them to compete with their title rivals.
Pochettino is an ambitious manager and it will remain to be seen how long he will be prepared to wait in north London before he feels he will need to go elsewhere to challenge for titles, with the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid rumoured to be interested in him.
Pochettino has been a revelation to Spurs since he joined them from Southampton and has consistently improved them season-upon-season, however, he has started to grow frustrated with his position.
The manager is determined to win trophies and feels he will need the financial backing from the club in order to compete with their rivals to attract the type of players needed, rather than having to sell his own stars.
The locals in the bar will be truly devastated to lose a man of his calibre and will be urging Levy to give him what he wants, rather than be prepared to risk losing him to someone like Chelsea in the future.
