Arsene Wenger and the North London club as a whole have come under some stark criticism today from one of Poland’s best players and a legend of the game.
The Metro are reporting that Zbigniew Boniek has come out to publicly lambast Arsene Wenger over the current goalkeeper situation at the North London club, claiming the his fellow countryman, Szczesny is a stronger keeper than the current number 1, Petr Cech.
Whilst it could be seen as biased praise seeing as they have both played international football for the Polish National team, it is some praise indeed for the young keeper, who is currently on loan at AS Roma in Serie A, after Cech’s arrival from Chelsea saw him lose his starting spot in the team.
Boniek himself turned out 80 times for Poland and feels like it was a real mistake sending the 25-year old out on loan, and if he has a good season is likely to styay in Italy.
