The full back, 25, is a free agent after having his contract terminated with the German club yesterday, after refusing to be sent out on loan to Duisburg in the deal that brought Sandro Wagner to Bremen.
Bremen boss Klaus Allofs told the club’s website: “After another bout of misconduct in the last couple of days we are happy this chapter is closed. We have never experienced a player acting that way.”
Pompey have now been alerted to Tosic, who failed to secure first-team football at Bremen, only making 22 appearances since joining in 2007. The cash-strapped South coast club are set to complete payments to players and staff today after selling Asmir Begovic to Stoke on transfer deadline-day. Pompey have now paid players and staff late four times this season and still face a winding-up order on February 10 for unpaid taxes.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
