Chelsea will be desperate to get the better of Manchester City on Sunday in the Carabao Cup final, with a win possibly transforming the Blues’ season completely.
Maurizio Sarri hasn’t exactly been able to get the best out of his side in recent times, with the 6-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City raising a few alarm bells.
Sadly, bringing the Turkey international to Stamford Bridge may not all be good news with it possibly having a knock on effect on players already at the club, so here are the potential consequences of signing Under in the summer…
EDEN HAZARD LEAVES
Eden Hazard has been the standout performer for the Blues in the current campaign with an impressive 15 goals and 10 assists to his name at this moment in time.
However, his future is currently surrounded with doubt ahead of the summer transfer window, and Under has reportedly been earmarked (as per Turkish Football, via Sports Mole) as a potential replacement for the Belgian.
Therefore, the winger’s potential arrival at Stamford Bridge may open the door for Eden Hazard to move away from the English capital, as the 21-year-old operates in exactly the same position and has the potential to take his place.
NEW STAMFORD BRIDGE HERO
Hazard has established himself as a fan favourite over the years at Stamford Bridge, with his creativity, skill and finishing ability constantly working wonders for the Blues.
Of course, losing the Belgian would come as a huge blow for supporters and the club, but Under has the ability and potential to take his place as Chelsea’s new hero as he’s managed to produce six goals and nine assists this season, so it’s clear to see that he can provide the valuable contributions that have made Hazard invaluable.
Therefore, supporters would soon warm to Under as he has all the exciting attributes that Hazard has, but he just hasn’t had enough time to develop into a world star just yet.
