Potential consequences of Harry Wilson leaving on loan in the summer

Liverpool fans have seen a number of young players thrive at Anfield over the years with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez impressing of late, but one player who is yet to really be given the opportunity to showcase his talents in the Premier League is Harry Wilson.

Indeed, the attacker has been one of the shining lights for Derby County in the Championship this season, having produced an impressive 12 goals and four assists, so perhaps he could play a big part in the Reds’ future.

But, he may not get the chance to feature for Liverpool in the Premier League, as according to Goal.com, discussions have already taken place with Wilson and his representatives as to his next move. And, the Reds believe the Wales international could fetch in excess of £20 million, but the preference is a loan move right now.

Nevertheless, with Jurgen Klopp looking to streamline his squad and with Liverpool expecting there to be significant interest in the attacker for a permanent transfer, as well as loan interest, here are the potential consequences of Harry Wilson leaving Liverpool permanently in the summer…

JURGEN KLOPP LOSES SPECIAL TALENT

It’s safe to say that waving goodbye to Harry Wilson would mean that Klopp loses a special talent as the 21-year-old has all the ingredients to become a star in the Premier League, with his dribbling, passing and finishing ability already making him a well-rounded attacker and he still has plenty of potential waiting to be unlocked.

He has the ability to create something out of absolutely nothing and many fans will agree that some of his free-kicks this season would even make Philippe Coutinho and Steven Gerrard proud.

RECEIVE HEALTHY SUM OF MONEY

Of course, losing Wilson would come as a huge blow as he could easily play a big part in the future of the club, but his potential permanent departure could reward Liverpool with a fee in excess of £20 million.

Liverpool’s preference is to send him on loan next season but a big offer in the summer could definitely turn their head, as it’s safe to say that Klopp doesn’t need another attacker at this moment in time with the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Mohamed Salah already operating on the right-hand side.

Liverpool fans, how would you feel if Wilson left permanently?
