Manchester United fans may be wondering what’s going on after such a promising start to life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as they’ve lost their last two games against Wolves and Arsenal.
The Red Devils face an uphill task to secure a top four spot from here on in with the likes of Spurs and Arsenal currently occupying third and fourth position respectively. But, if United can replicate their form from towards the start of Solskjaer’s reign then fans will soon have a smile back on their faces.
One thing that could excite supporters is a move for a big-name player in the summer transfer window, and it looks as if that could become reality, as according to O Jogo, Man United are willing to pay astronomical funds to sign Luka Jovic.
Jovic has been on fire this season and United haven’t exactly been able to get the best out of Romelu Lukaku at all times, so here are the potential consequences of Jovic joining…
ED WOODWARD SECURES FUTURE SUPERSTAR
The Serbian international is only 21 years of age but he’s already managed to find the back of the net 22 times in the current campaign, which is pretty incredible when you consider that he’s been playing for Eintracht Frankfurt.
He still has plenty of potential and all the ingredients to become a future superstar with this season just being the start of what could turn out to be an amazing career for the forward. Indeed, the Red Devils already have Marcus Rashford set for an exciting future at Old Trafford, and Jovic may just be the next player to join him.
ROMELU LUKAKU CONCERNED ABOUT HIS FUTURE
Romelu Lukaku has received a lot of stick from supporters in the current campaign for his lack of consistency and awful first touch, but he’s silenced a few of his critics in recent times having produced a number of goals.
But, Jovic’s potential arrival could mean that all of his hard work comes undone as the Serbian would inevitably jump above the Belgian in the pecking order due to his consistent flow of goals and the large fee that would have more than likely been paid to lure him to Manchester. And, if he starts scoring it could be impossible for Lukaku to knock him out of the starting lineup, so the Belgian may be concerned about his own future.
