Manchester City have been a dominant force ever since Pep Guardiola took charge at the club, with a number of trophies already to his name at the Etihad.
Indeed, the Spaniard really has worked wonders in Manchester as he continues to establish himself as one of the best managers in world football. But, they’re currently losing out in the race for the Premier League title as Liverpool currently hold a two point lead over the Citizens with a game in hand.
So, with things not going perfectly in the Premier League in recent times, it appears as if Guardiola has already turned his attention towards strengthening in the summer, as according to The Sun, Guardiola wants Ben Chilwell and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a stunning £80 million deal.
It’s safe to say that the Manchester club have encountered a number of full-back problems in the current campaign, so here are the potential consequences of Guardiola’s huge summer move…
FUTURE STARS ARRIVE
Ben Chilwell, 22, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 21, have established themselves as two of the most promising full-backs in English football in recent times, having put in a number of world-class performances in the Premier League.
Indeed, the Leicester City man has already made great strides on the international stage with England, while the Crystal Palace ace has shone in attacking and defensive areas at Selhurst Park.
Of course, the Citizens already have Kyle Walker at right-back and Benjamin Mendy at left-back when he isn’t spending time out on the sidelines, but securing the services of Chilwell and Wan-Bissaka would see two future stars arrive at the Etihad Stadium in the summer months.
STEP CLOSER TO WORLD DOMINATION
It’s clear to see that Manchester City are planning for world domination, with one of the strongest squads in world football already at Pep Guardiola’s disposal at this moment in time.
But, one problem in the current campaign has been at left-back as Benjamin Mendy’s absence has caused them a lot of problems, with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Danilo struggling to ensure defensive solidity. So, Chilwell would be able to solve their problem position on the left-hand side, while Wan-Bissaka will replace Kyle Walker in the long-term.
City have already made great strides on the European stage and in the Premier League in recent times, despite trailing Liverpool in the race for the title. So, they’ll soon find themselves one step closer towards achieving world domination if they secure both players, as they’d fix their biggest problem at left-back and be prepped for the future with two of England’s biggest talents at their disposal.
