Rangers fans will feel confident that their side can enjoy a strong finish to their season as they’ve been rather dominant in recent times, having won their last three games.
However, a number of changes need to be made in the summer transfer window as things have been far from perfect in the current campaign, with Celtic strolling towards yet another treble.
Much to the delight of supporters, it appears as if Steven Gerrard already has a possible addition in his sights, as according to Football Insider, Rangers want to sign Liverpool’s Curtis Jones this summer.
Jones is a very promising youngster who has all the ingredients to become a star in the Scottish Premiership, so here are the potential consequences of Rangers signing him on loan this summer…
GERRARD SECURES ARFIELD REPLACEMENT
Southampton have been linked (as per Daily Mail) with a summer move for Scott Arfield this month.
The midfielder may find it difficult to turn down a move back to England as it’s not very often a player gets the opportunity to secure a move back to the Premier League, especially at the age of 30.
So, Curtis Jones could replace Arfield in the summer as they’re very similar players. Both men operate as attack-minded midfielders with the ability to score and create goals, so he’d be the perfect replacement.
Of course, turning to a Liverpool youngster once again could prove to be another masterstroke decision after witnessing Ryan Kent’s brilliance this season. The Liverpool man has been one of the shining lights for the Light Blues in the current campaign, so it makes perfect sense to look at bringing Jones to Ibrox.
Rangers could secure another masterstroke signing if Jones turns out to be half as good as Kent has been.
