Tottenham Hotspur failed to secure all three points in the North London derby as they could only hold out for a 1-1 draw at Wembley Stadium, thanks Hugo Lloris’ late penalty save.
Spurs’ recent form in the Premier League has let them down as they now find themselves fighting to stay in the top four, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal hot on their trail.
It appears as if Mauricio Pochettino is looking to actually make signings in the summer, as according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato), AC Milan’s Patrick Cutrone is a target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Cutrone has plenty of potential and he could definitely succeed in the Premier League, so his potential arrival can surely only mean good things for the North London club.
With that being said, here are the potential consequences of signing Patrick Cutrone in the summer…
DANIEL LEVY FINALLY SPLASHES OUT
Daniel Levy hasn’t been able to work his magic on the transfer front in recent times as Spurs have failed to spend a single penny in the last two transfer windows.
But, bringing Cutrone to the club would inevitably see Levy splash the cash as AC Milan would reportedly (as per Gazzetta dello Sport, via Calciomercato) accept an offer in the region of €30 million (£25.78 million) or higher.
Of course, fans would love nothing more than to witness Levy spending again after such a long wait.
HARRY KANE DELIGHTED
Harry Kane has been Spurs’ star man once again in the current campaign, with an impressive 22 goals to his name.
However, the Englishman hasn’t always received support at the pinnacle of the attack and Fernando Llorente is getting on with age, so a reinforcements are desperately needed in attacking areas.
The 25-year-old would be delighted if the club managed to secure the services of Cutrone as it would take a lot of pressure of his shoulders, as well as boosting Spurs’ attack and providing him with a strike partner.
