Liverpool will be focused on achieving their aim of securing an elusive trophy under Jurgen Klopp in the current campaign, with their Premier League and Champions League hopes still alive.
The Reds currently find themselves joint on points with Manchester City in the Premier League but the Reds do have a game in hand, so they’ll be looking to reclaim their place at the top of the table.
However, one thing that has been worrying supporters in recent times has been Mohamed Salah’s future, as Real Madrid (as per Diario Gol, via the Daily Star) and Juventus (as per Sky News Arabia, via The Sun) have been linked with a move for the Egyptian.
Of course, the Reds would love to hold onto their star man in the summer months, but at the same time they may be tempted into selling him if they receive an unimaginable offer.
So, here are TWO stars who could potentially replace Salah at Anfield…
Paulo Dybala is arguably one of the world’s best attackers having scored goals for fun over the years in Italy. He currently has eight goals and six assists to his name, but his stats don’t really say much about his ability as he can offer so much more than he’s currently letting on.
Indeed, the Argentina international can operate in behind the striker or at the pinnacle of the attack, and he does generally have the ability to produce similar numbers to Mohamed Salah but he’s been overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo for much of the current campaign at Juventus.
Dybala is a world-class attacker and he’s over a year younger than Salah, so he’s got plenty of time to develop.
Gareth Bale has developed into one of the world’s best since moving to Real Madrid and he’s helped the Spanish giants secure a number of pieces of silverware, including the Champions League trophy last year when he scored a brace in Kiev, which Liverpool fans will have very bad memories of.
He currently has 12 goals and five assists to his name in all competitions.
It’s safe to say that they’d love to have him in their side as he has the ability to create something special out of absolutely nothing, with his pace and finishing ability making it almost impossible for the best defenders to stop him. Indeed, the Welshman has previous experience in the Premier League and the quality to bring silverware to Anfield.
