Potentially damaging transfer development for Rangers fans – Report

Rangers fans here in the Tavern are hoping to keep some of their in demand players, as possible departures could spell trouble for Graeme Murty’s side.

Ibrox has laid its eyes on some pretty impressive displays so far this season, that have been topped off by some goalscoring brilliance at the point of their attack. Although, with trophies and money constantly playing in the back of players minds, Rangers could be about to suffer a huge setback in the hopes and future of the club. As according to reports from Win Sports, Rangers’ star striker Alfredo Morelos has revealed he wants to quit Ibrox this summer.

The Colombian desires progression in his footballing career as a move to the Premier League, Spain or Italy is something that the 21-year-old sees as the next step.

Indeed, after joining Glasgow Rangers last year for £1 million from HJK Helsinki, the forward has been an immediate hit with fans and the club as his 13 goals in just 25 appearances has secured a place in the hearts of many. Although, after being the subject of interest already since joining the club, it comes of a great shock to supporters for the striker to want an Ibrox exit after his agent Jonne Lindbom insisted this week that Morelos was going nowhere.

And, after speaking in an interview with a Colombian TV sports show, he stated this:

“I hope to keep doing very well and look for a bigger club, in the Premier League at the end of the season.”

“I’d like also the Spanish league or the Italian one.”

However, the striker did state he was ‘happy’ at Rangers in this current moment, which is great news for a Gers side that would benefit massively off keeping the Colombian for the rest of the season.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Morelos would be a huge miss if he did decide to leave the club, as their top scorer with his potency in front of goal being the main contributor to Graeme Murty’s impressive reign so far.

However, with the player’s desire to play in the Premier League or another major European league growing as days go by, it’s safe to say an Ibrox exit looks like becoming a reality for the 21-year-old in the near future.
