Our landlord has unearthed some news that has alerted the Chelsea fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern.
Italian outlet TMW is claiming that Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan are weighing up a deal for Chelsea midfielder John Obi-Mikel, with the Blues looking to secure a deal for Leicester City star N’Golo Kante.
The publication claims that Inter are considering a €5-6 million bid for the Chelsea stalwart, and our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern feels that the Nigerian’s time is up at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea fans over by the jukebox are debating this news, and feel that Conte needs to pull out all the stops to secure a deal for Frenchman N’Golo Kante – and admit they wouldn’t be too bothered to see Mikel depart the club in the summer.
The barman admits Obi-Mikel would bring a hell of a lot of experience to Inter Milan, and would help Mancini’s side during their Serie A and Europa League campaigns next season.
