Premier League boss snubs offer as he eyes Arsenal job next summer

koemankoemandArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are reacting to news that a renowned manager has snubbed an offer from the Premier League, as he feels he could be heading to north London next summer.

The Daily Mirror states Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has rejected the advances of manager-less Everton as he feels he has a high chance to get the Arsenal job next summer, with Arsene Wenger likely to step-down.

Wenger has just one-year remaining on his deal in north London and is unlikely to pen another contract, with his likely departure coinciding with when Koeman’s deal with Southampton expires- leaving Arsenal free to appoint the Dutchman.

However, Everton are keen to bring Koeman to Goodison Park as a successor to Roberto Martinez, who was axed last week following the heavy defeat to Sunderland in the penultimate Premier League game for the Toffees.

Our landlord fancies Koeman for Arsenal’s position next summer, although he believes compatriot Frank De Boer could also be in the running.
