The Football Transfer Tavern has been inundated with rumours this weekend, and Pete O’Rourke of Sky Sports, popped by at lunchtime to tell us that Fulham, West Brom and West Ham are monitoring Paul Robinson’s situation at Blackburn Rovers.
The former England number one is thought to be unsettled at Ewood Park, following the clubs reported pursuit of Brad Friedel from Tottenham.
They are thought to have lined up a move for their ex-stopper Friedel in January, after the American recently lost his first team place to Hugo Lloris.
The 41-year-old is expected to be offered a player/coaching role by his former club.
This means Robinson could be looking for a return to the Premier League, with Fulham, West Ham and West Brom all keen to bolster their goalkeeping options in the January transfer window.
However, the question remains as to whether Robinson would be first choice at any of these clubs?
