Premier League duo keen on signing up Leeds United star

ByramLeeds United fans inside Football Transfer Tavern have mixed views on what they have just read in the Hartlepool Mail, with the publication stating that Premier League duo Sunderland and Everton are in a gruelling battle to sign highly rated Leeds United defender Sam Byram who has been valued at £8 million.

Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has vowed to do ‘all he can’ to keep the defender at Elland Road, even though he is entering the last year of his contract at Sky Bet Championship outfit.

Having already rejected a £4.5million bid from Southampton last August, Byram throughout the season has gone on to be a fans favourite, and a number of Whites supporters by the pool table admit they would be gutted to lose the defender!

Last season, Byram was nominated for the Fans Player Of The Year and also Young Player Of The Year but lost out to Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook respectively.
