Premier League new-boys Brighton and Hove Albion are lining up a loan switch for Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham over the summer and it’s got the Seagulls supporters here in the Tavern seriously excited indeed!
According to the Sun, Brighton boss Chris Hughton has earmarked the Chelsea man as the player he wants to lead his line in the Premier League bow next season after the terrific form he’s shown at Bristol City this campaign.
The rising England star has been in great form as the Robins have moved away from the dropzone in the Championship but Hughton believes the young forward has enough quality to now make the step up to the Premier League.
And it’s a move our Chelsea-mad barman likes the sound of too- Abraham will be playing against the best in the country in a side that isn’t likely to harbour any challenge for silverware either.
Whether Abraham is ready for the step up yet is to be seen but after a stunning breakthrough season in the second-tier, there’s plenty of punters here in the pub who believe he’s deserving of a chance.
Chelsea fans- just how long will it be until Abraham is in the Blues first team? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
