Premier League side plotting record move for Arsenal forward

WalcottArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting wholesale changes to their squad this summer, although they’ve revealed their concerns after the latest news interrupted their turn on the karaoke machine.

The Brentwood Gazette states West ham United are plotting a surprise move to bring Arsenal forward Theo Walcott across London this summer, in a major transfer to inspire the side ahead of their inaugural season at the Olympic Stadium.

Walcott has spent a decade at Arsenal, with a decent scoring record for the club and for England, but he’s always struggled to nail down a starting spot- and his desire to play at the spearhead of the attack has been well documented.

The England international impressed in that role at the back end of last season and into the current campaign, though an injury halted his progress. Now fit again, he’s struggled for form and faces immense competition from Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck.

As such, West Ham will look to tempt him with a move to East London and they’re ready to offer a club-record deal of £26m to secure the services of the pacy attacker.

Our landlord feels that whilst Arsenal will be keen not to sell, an offer of that price would definitely be worth considering.

Arsenal fans, would you sell Walcott for £26m? Let us know in the comments below!
