The Chinese Super League has been featured heavily in the press over the last few weeks as their clubs have began to pursue the world’s top talent in an attempt to take them to the Far East.
During the January transfer window, no league in the world saw its clubs spend as much money on players as those in China and with the money that the clubs are paying out, it is little surprise that more and more players are snubbing Europe to make the move to Asia.
The landlord has spotted an article in the Daily Express however that has revealed the identity of at least one player who has rejected a move to the Chinese Super League in the last few weeks.
The report suggests that Chelsea player Oscar turned down a move to the Chinese Super League during the January transfer window, as he doesn’t feel as though he is ready to wave goodbye to the English Premier League at this stage in his career.
One Chelsea fan is playing on the fruit machine in the Tavern and thinks Oscar was right not to move to China, stating that any player who does make the move over there is only doing so for financial reasons.
Chelsea fans… Can Oscar still be an asset for Chelsea? Will you keep him in the summer?
