The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern remain disappointed by the departure of Philippe Coutinho.
Following one of the longest drawn out transfer sagas in recent times, Coutinho finally completed his dream move to Barcelona earlier this week in a deal worth £146 million. The move had looked inevitable ever since the Catalan giants made him their number one transfer target in the summer window of 2017, but that has not stopped the Reds faithful from complaining about their club’s transfer policy.
One of the main points of contention amongst the supporters is that the decision to allow Coutinho to leave during the mid-season window could negatively impact their mission to achieve a top-four finish, especially if they are unable to sign a replacement this month.
In a bid to boost the spirits of the Liverpool supporters, the club posted a tweet yesterday to confirm that Mo Salah and Daniel Sturridge had returned to training.
Great to see @22mosalah and @DanielSturridge back in training this afternoon! https://t.co/DVegpTk6nB pic.twitter.com/LM34Uycy0w

The Liverpool fans responded to the post with plenty of admiration for their electric Egyptian, whilst a handful of The Reds appear to have forgotten that Sturridge was still a part of the club.
However, a minority of supporters took the opportunity to further berate their club’s decision to sell Coutinho, and suggested that Salah could be the next star player to depart Anfield.
Here’s how the fans reacted to the club post…
Probably sell him to Real Madrid now that Liverpool are officially a feeder club for La Liga

He's not "Just Another" player, he was our 2nd best player but since Coutinho left hes now taken the top spot. We rely on him the most now which will hopefully help him get more goals and not add pressure.
— O
I genuinely forgot Daniel Sturridge was still a Liverpool player!

Surprised they have not sold him

By all logic these two should be terrifying defences before seasons end
