PSG hope to beat competition in race to sign Everton forward

lukaku99112The Everton fans who are gathered in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports of one club’s desire to sign their star forward.

The Daily Star is reporting that French side Paris St Germain are set to make a bid for prolific Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku has been attracting interest from many sides with regards to a move away from Goodison Park this summer.

PSG manager Laurent Blanc has personally scouted the Everton front man this season and is eager to make him part of his squad for next season, and with the French club already crowned champions they have the added bonus of offering Champions League football to the Belgian international.

The news will be a blow to both Manchester United and Chelsea, who have been linked with a move for the striker who has hit 25 goals so far this season.

With the player himself stating that it is his desire to play Champions League football that would clearly put the French side in the driving seat should a fee be agreed with Everton.

The Everton fans in The Tavern have accepted the fact that Lukaku is likely to leave the club this summer, and would sooner the club did a deal with a European side rather than one of their rivals.

Will Lukaku remain at Everton? Let us know in the comments below!
