The Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping they can hold on to their star man…
Liverpool have impressed everyone in the Tavern so far this season, with their dynamic and explosive performances seeing away the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea already thus far.
Often looking unstoppable up and down the pitch, one man that has had praise heaped upon him in recent weeks for pulling the strings is Brazilian sensation Coutinho.
He has found the best form of his Liverpool career thus far under Klopp – and he is continuing to show the dominant performances that were expected of him when he first joined the club.
However, his excellent form could come with a downside for Liverpool; and it comes in the shape of continental interest in his services.
According to Le10 Sport, PSG are reportedly interested in Coutinho – and have been tracking him for several weeks.
They report that the Ligue 1 outfit would have pursued Coutinho at the beginning of the season, if not for Jurgen Klopp refusing any chance of a deal.
However, it would appear that they have not given up – and they could make a move as soon as January.
This has worried the Liverpool fans in the Tavern – as it can often be impossible to say no when PSG offer their often outlandish transfer fees.
Certainly, Coutinho’s value would be close to the £30m mark – and PSG would have to get close to that for Klopp to even consider an offer.
Since arriving on Merseyside in 2013, Coutinho has made 114 league appearances for the Reds – bagging an impressive 24 goals.
