The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern were signing Mauricio Pochettino’s name last night after he guided them to a 3-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.
But recent rumours are suggesting that he is a target for Paris Saint-Germain.
According to The Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain have identified Mauricio Pochettino as a top target to replace Unai Emery.
Emery is set to leave the French giants at the end of the season and they are keen to bring in someone who can take them to the next level and achieve success in Europe.
Pochettino’s success at Spurs has been measured by how he has transformed them into a side competing for titles, although he is yet to add any silverware to their trophy cabinet just yet.
He has also overseen success in the Champions League with Spurs beating Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund to progress from a very difficult group this season.
PSG, currently nine points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table, want to bring Pochettino in as a young and promising manager with fresh ideas.
The Argentinian was at PSG during his playing days for two years.
PSG will also consider a move for former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique.
This will be a very tricky decision for Pochettino, because he is currently in the middle of a project at Spurs.
While he seems heavily invested in his project, the prospect of more money at a familiar place and the chance to work with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar could be too tempting to turn down.
Without Pochettino, Spurs could find themselves struggling in a transition period.
