As quoted by Talksport, Tony Pulis is not sure whether Nacer Chadli can get into the West Brom side now he has returned from injury thanks to the Baggies’ great form recently.
Certainly, our West Brom fans here in the Transfer Tavern have had their doubts after seeing their side work wonders in their last few games.
Chadli was a summer signing from Tottenham and initially impressed for the club with his best performance so far coming against West Ham in a 4-2 win earlier this year, but had to undergo minor knee surgery a few weeks ago to take him out of the team.
Since that moment West Brom have won both their fixtures with him out of the side with the most recent a convincing 4-0 victory over Burnley and so, naturally, Pulis appears reluctant to change the winning formula:
Pulis said: “I can’t wait to get Chadli in the team but at the moment I don’t think he can get in there. They’ve played so well it’s difficult to find a place for him.”
“He trained yesterday and he trained very well. It’s nice to have that problem.”
Chadli has four goals and two assists so far for the Baggies but will have to compete with the likes of Matt Phillips and Chris Brunt if he is to get back into the side ahead of the busy Christmas period.
West Brom play Hull City this weekend as they look for another three points.
Our landlord here in the Tavern thinks that the former Tottenham star is a key player in the West Brom side, and thinks the the midfielder should slot back into the starting XI nicely.
