The Chelsea fans are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports of their captains next move.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that John Terry has been offered a deal by Qatar outfit Al Arabi and that secret talks have already taken place with the players representatives.
With Qatar set to host the World Cup in 2022 they are keen to boost the profile of the game in the country by making high profile signings like Terry to get more people interested.
Al Arabi are managed by former Chelsea star Gianfranco Zola and he is confident that his connections with John Terry will encourage the 35-year-old to sign with Qatari club, over moves to the MLS and China.
After being told that he will not be offered a new deal by Chelsea in the summer, Terry is free to start negotiations with foreign clubs with a view to a move during the summer.
One thing is for sure Terry will not be short of potential suitors due to his wealth of desire and commitment, and the experience he would bring many sides.
The Chelsea fans in The Tavern are still feeling numb after yesterday’s announcement that Terry will be leaving the club in January, but believe him when he says he will not turn out for another Premier League club.
