The Queens Park Rangers punters who have been supping here in the Transfer Tavern have been disappointed by their team’s first half of the season to say the least.
The R’s occupy a mid-table position in the Championship and now that new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has his feet firmly under the table, they will be hoping to shoot up the table during the second half of the campaign.
A couple of Rangers supporting drinkers in the Tavern look upset at an article in the London Evening Standard which suggests that striker Charlie Austin could be on his way out of the club, with director of football Les Ferdinand admitting that should a Premier League club come in for the player, they could be forced to sell.
One R’s fan putting a pound in the bandit thinks the club can kiss goodbye to promotion if Austin is sold, but would also like to see the club get a transfer fee for the player, rather than lose him for free in the summer.
R’s fans… Would you sell Austin or not? How good is Austin? Can he get even better?
