The Queens Park Rangers fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have already seen Harry Redknapp reunited with Rio Ferdinand this summer and if the manager has his way he may be set for a reunion with another.
As according to talkSPORT, West London outfit QPR are hoping Rafael van der Vaart will bring some Premier League experience and class to Loftus Road.
However, Hamburg Chairman Dietmar Beiersdorfer has ruled out a potential sale of the talented Dutchman.
Hoops boss Harry Redknapp knows all about van der Vaart having managed the player during his time at Tottenham Hotspur.
Reports suggest that the former West Ham United boss, who was also linked to the England position before Roy Hodgson was appointed, is keen to bring the midfielder back to the Premier League.
However it seems that the Loftus Road club will struggle to lure him away from Germany.
“Rafa is an exceptional player. I’m counting on Rafa. He’s making a good impression,” Beiersdorfer told Bild.
“He’s worked a lot on himself and he’s now 100 per cent fit in his body and his mind,” he added.
“In this shape, he’s irreplaceable. It would be very hard for us to do without him.”
