Bring on Spurs, Chelsea and Man City!
That is the message from Akos Buzsaky as Queens Park Rangers get ready to face a tough Premier League finale, in their bid to avoid relegation.
Rangers face three of the top five, as well as West Brom and Stoke in their remaining five games but midfielder Buzsaky has told The Sun that he and his team-mates fear nobody.
“We are not scared of them. We seem to perform better against the top teams. We have nothing to be afraid of.
“We have beaten Liverpool and Arsenal at home when no-one gave us a chance. We just need to play well away. If we do that, we have a fair chance of staying up.”
The Hungarian is right, they have beaten Liverpool and Arsenal, but the Liverpool game was an incredible and unlikely late comeback. Against Arsenal, and against Swansea this week, The R’s have been impressive, although I’m not sure if they will stay up.
Their games against Chelsea and Man City are both away, with the opposition also still fighting for something in the league. Spurs will also provide a huge test. Stoke and West Brom are hardly gimmes either.
I think QPR could still stay up, but it will be mainly down to what other teams do.
Wigan seem to have picked a great time to pick up form and if Bolton can scrape together a few more points, QPR might find themselves back in the Championship along with with, probably, Blackburn and Wolves.
